Triglav, Slovenia

Triglav, Slovenia

This is a 5 day mountaineering and hiking expedition.  Using via ferrata equipment we ascend the north face of Triglav to its summit, before descending down the gentler south side of the mountain via the picturesque 7 lakes.

6th – 10th September 2021 – Fully booked

Finer details –
Starting at the Aljazev Dom hut in the Vrata valley, we follow the route under the imposing north face of Triglav, before starting the climb on occasional fixed cable and spikes up to the huge cliffs of Begunjski.
We then continue across the limestone crevasses and caverns to the Kredarica hut.  After either an overnight stay or an hour’s respite (depending on the prevailing conditions), we continue onto the vertigo inducing north east buttress of Triglav.
Protected by further fixed cables (and not in some places!) we eventually gain the summit ridge onto the summit of Triglav.   We then descend by the south, staying in further mountain huts before arriving at Lake Bohinj and return travel home

The cost of the expedition is £595
